Analysis of assessments
Referring to table 1 in appendix I, I was rated higher in terms of intrapersonal skills as compared to interpersonal skills. When my mean results were compared to the mean scores from the relevant articles cited by the survey, it was shown that I had a high score for attitude towards authority and rather low on self-monitoring score (<9). The other 3 aspects were rated moderate and close to the population mean. Results from all four surveys are rather similar with some discrepancies as shown in figure 2. The acquaintance gave the lowest social score (Fig.1) probably as I am not used to opening up to strangers. In terms of self-control, the lowest score was from my partner (Fig.1). It is not surprising as my partner has

When choosing, I took into consideration the results from all the surveys, in particular the one from my colleague. I feel that it is the most accurate portrayal of my behavior in the work environment, where I will need relevant leadership skills to progress in the corporate ladder. I believe that my results for the self-monitoring survey are reliable as all 3 informants and myself gave similar answers (Fig.1) – 3 results gave low SM scores (<9). The acquaintance gave the highest score of 9 amongst all, which is considered a low moderate result. This may be because we have yet to work with each other and there were little incidences to reflect that I am a low self-monitor. Nevertheless, it seems that she was still able to judge based on my behaviors towards new people in …show more content…
As such, I tend to display my true attitudes and dispositions in most situations. For example, when I was doing my internship at a small auditing firm, I encountered problems with a particular senior. I did not agree with the way he was performing their audit duties as he was cutting corner and it was against my values. Although the other auditors in the firm were aware of his behaviors, most of them simply closed an eye to maintain to good relationships. However, I showed immense displeasure, evident through my attitude towards him, despite being the junior. I felt that this incident displayed a low level of self-monitoring as I was unable to put on a “face” in front of him. I was also unwilling to compromise and chose to damage our work relationship. Thinking back, I should use a more tactful way to communicate to him that they may be violating the professional code of conduct for

Others the results were right on target and the test described me very accurately. As I mentioned I am a reserved person that I select when I will allow myself to be the center of attention and be part of the spotlight. As a result, I have concluded that I am a very passive person where I tend to stay on the sidelines and observe what might be going on. I was shocked the type of profession would best suit me. All though I have chosen a very different profession.…

For most of the checklist, I have seen that my answers were closely related to the answers given to me on the responses. This shows that the view I have of myself is congruent with reality. This can be credited to the unconditional positive regard given to me by my parents, which allowed me to get a good view of myself while not having them bring me down for my flaws. Additionally, two responses, by family member and other, mentioned that they saw me having kids. This also goes along with what I said in my checklist.…

Hi, Post 2 - Writing a Self-Assessment I thought it was important to understand what a self-assessment is and how to write one. A self-assessment is the process of looking at oneself in order to assess aspects that are important to one's identity. It is one of the motives that drive self-evaluation, along with self-verifcation and self-enhancement. A self-assessment will prompt people to seek information to confirm their uncertain self-concept rather than their certain self-concept and at the same time people use self-assessment to enhance their certainty of their own self-knowledge. and I know the things that I am not so great at and am not afraid to admit that and ask others for help. On internalized moral perspective, I received one of my highest scores, a 19. Internalized moral perspective is when an individual uses their internal moral standards and values to guide their behavior rather than allow outside pressure to control them. I believe I received a high score here because I am a very religious person, I was always taught to be kind no matter what and to always treat…

Hello Professor Phillips and Class, I scored a 36 on the self-assessment tool. My nursing role is not in a patient care area and my support and knowledge of nursing documentation within the electronic medical record is fundamental. My area of support is with physician documentation of the electronic medical record (EMR), building medications and order sets for use with all inpatients populations. If there is a core or quality measures that requires tracking provider outcomes, I have facilitated that build within order sets. You have done a good job in answering to all questions and your writing was brief and easy to read. However, you must focus on the key words of the questions. Your answers missed out some key points of the questions. For example, you had to describe the essential aspects of a self-directed, intrinsically motivated and active learner for the first question but you described the aspects of a self directed learner only. You described a self-directed learner elaborately so it seemed you missed out on reading about intrinsic and extrinsic motivation.…

Self Assessment Analysis: Listening One major communication flaw of mine is my inability to listen to others at times. The idiom, “you have one mouth and two ears, so you should listen twice as much as you talk,” makes sense. However, it has been hard to implement this idea in my life. Final Exam: Self Evaluation Essay I personally can say that I have seen an improvement in my writing since my initial evaluation in the middle of the semester. During my first evaluation I was very confused with many of the general concepts the class held and it reflected in my writing. Answering the questions presented in the midterm evaluation and reviewing my first writing assignment Meta commentary pushed me to try to grasp a better understanding of assignments and ask for more helpful feedback that would benefit me in developing writing especially in the concept of methods and organization. Slowly and surely as the rest of the semester progressed forward I saw an improvement in my writing style and content.…
