Self Accountability Report

Decent Essays
When I first decided to take this class I wasn't really sure what to expect. One huge difference I noticed between High School and Columbus State is the self accountability. I have discovered I have a slight procrastination issue. At the start of the semester it seemed as though the first papers deadline came out of nowhere. I got better with handling my deadlines as we wrote more papers, but I still procrastinated more than I should have. When band season was in full swing I found it hard to balance my homework and my band schedule. Hopefully, next semester I will be able to handle my time better since band is over. I have always struggled with my grammar. I am not sure why but I just can’t grasp the concept. I also struggle with putting

In the criminal justice system, compliance occurs when members of society are encouraged to abide by laws. In this system, elements such as Youth Justice Conferences, the International Criminal Court and Mandatory Minimum Sentencing are relatively ineffective in encouraging compliance within the domestic and international community. In order to encourage compliance, laws should be enforceable and reflect the moral standards of society. Since starting this class I have noticed how much I write. I journal at least once a week, I’ve had assignments of all kinds that I’ve had papers for, and I spend a great deal of my time on my phone answering messages. I tried my best to get an A in this class, even though I got sick often, and my attendance was poor on the worst days. I tried to participate even when I wasn’t there; for example, I was messaging Garrett argument ideas through Facebook while I as in bed sick. This was one of my favorite classes this semester.…

Implementing an electronic health record (EHR) strategy for a medical organization has the potential, and capacity, to transform the enterprise. However, simply purchasing and installing an EHR is not enough to improve quality of care or enhance patient experiences. Leveraging advanced technology to full advantage requires extensive training, and for many providers, the learning curve is steep. In the fall, I took the English 1001 class. I knew the class would personally be a struggle for me from my past writing attempts. I knew I had to pass this class in order to graduate, so it had a lot of importance to me. It was overwhelming to me throughout the class. Towards the end of the class, though, I saw a significant change in how quickly and smoothly I could write an essay.…

I knew that college was going to be a great deal of work because of the experience that I had during Summer Bridge. The Summer Bridge schedule was extremely packed with very little free time, which made it difficult to complete assignments. I frequently stayed awake into the late hours of the night in order to finish homework. Although my schedule is currently not as strenuous as it was during Summer Bridge, I still find it difficult to meet the expectations my courses. EDS 50 is the class that I am taking because it is a mandated component of my scholarship and it is also my least stressful class out of the four that I am enrolled in.…

As my first semester almost ends, there is a plethora of aspects that played a major role in how much stress and pressure I have encountered. These aspects have created negative and positive outlooks on college and life, which is evident in my attitude as the semester closes. I have experienced so much pressure, and anxiety from one semester because of my perfectionism. I am constantly checking Moodle and MyClaflin to be on top of things. From this semester, I have reviewed various syllabuses and schedules of assignments, which has all become a blur.…

This dissertation is about accountability in decision-making processes for routine and non-routine settings. The study identifies two research problems linked to each other. The first research problem is the disconnect in the public administration’s literature of the micro (individual) and macro (societal) levels of accountability (Dubnick, 2014) and the conceptualization of accountability primarily for routine contexts. The second research problem is a practical problem related to the individual experience of being accountable for the adoption of unfamiliar hazard mitigation measures in natural hazard mitigation plans.…

I am very thankful for taking this course as I feel I have vastly improved in multiple areas of my communication. I had never taken a course that involved writing a paper and then presenting a speech on it to the class. It was either one or the other, not both. That is what intrigued me to take this course before the semester started. For myself great strides were made in my ability to convince readers through the toulmin model, learned in this course.…

I would say that I learned the most about what it really means to have time management after this semester. Entering my first semester of college I had blind faith in the University, and myself because I believe everything would just work out and I would pass because it was meant to be. However, fate and hope are no the things to help you life as a new college student. The drive to wake up, attend class, finish homework, and accept the new responsibility that had been placed in my novice hands diminished greatly as the non-academic temptations became to creep in my head. I must be honest with you and let you know that I did cave and willingly participate in the sweet release of social experiences.…
