“We got laughed at. My father was told would never make it. Its gradual, a growing process. It’s not like it came overnight.”
A talented singer, a model to follow and the Queen of Tejano, that is who we will hear from today is here today. She is her to give us some motivational words, and to motivate us to never give and do our best now that we are about to graduate.
In this lovely afternoon our speaker here will be Selena Quintanilla a singer that has such great success, but has also had some people tell her she could not do it, but look where she is now.
Selena began her singing career at the age, ten when she became the lead singer in her family’s band with her sister and brother. From there she began to gain popularity and continued to grow even when the band was told they couldn’t do it because of the peoples believes that women could not get the attention of the public. But despite all that, Selena would late become known as the Queen of Tejano and her album Ven Conmigo would reach the Gold Record status.

But we will all try our best to do a great job and succeed in life. And pretty soon we will be happy with what we have done and will not feel the same way.
And so we are here to hear about what Selena has learned through her singing career, her ups and downs, and also what she did to deal with all those people that told her and her band they could not do it. I feel that there is no better way than to hear it from a person that has accomplished so much.
From a successful singer that never gave up, and continued strong throughout her career as it slowly began to raise. It is important that we hear these motivational word because it will motivate us to never give up and to work hard to accomplish our goals we have set for ourselves in life.
