“If you have a dream, don’t let anyone take it away and always believe that the impossible is always the possible.” Those are words said by Selena Quintanilla, a famous Tejano, Mexican singer. It is crazy how a few strong words could be remembered for so long and perhaps even change history. According to Biography.com Selena Quintanilla was daughter of Marcella and Abraham Quintanilla who was a musician when Selena was young. Selena the was youngest sister of two; a brother named Abraham Quintanilla the III and a sister named Suzette Quintanilla. She was born on April 16, 1972, in Lake Jackson, Texas. Selena was a natural singer, she became her family's lead singer at the age of 10 (Biography.com).
When Selena was younger she had the talent to sing, but her plans were not to be a singer. When she was younger Selena wanted to be a stylist, but when she saw she was getting famous at a young age she started singing. All Her family had a band and they traveled so much so her dad pulled her out of school in eighth grade according to Biography of Selena. Even though she didn’t attend school she got a degree in a school at Chicago.

Selena continued composing and performing more amazing songs through 1994 until she tragically died from a bullet wound in March 31, 1995 (Biography.com). According to investigations Selena died in the arms of the person who created the Selena fan club, her name was Yolanda Saldivar (Biography.com). Yolanda was caught embezzling money and before she could be officially terminated from her job she shot Selena, creating one of the saddest moments in pop history (Biography). After Selena’s death her final album was realist and became into one of the albums the world will never forget
