In this scenario, Maya first and foremost must address her own leadership style. She appears to have little insight on her staff and problems they are experiencing with Seleena. By reevaluating herself, she may be able to understand the reason she is unaware of the issues with Seleena. Additionally, she needs to be more interactive with her staff, therefore, they will be able to inform her of issues instead of going to the CEO.
When Laurena addressed Maya concerning the feedback she had received, it was done in an extremely unprofessional manner. Laurena, as a manager, should use the respectful conversation approach with Maya to discuss the feedback she had received from the CEO. Laurena should have scheduled a meeting with Maya to discuss
