Even with increased accessibility to healthy options, many people still choose to continue their current lifestyle despite innovative education. Figuring out personal triggers can make the difference towards change. Loved ones can have good intentions; however, their comments can be hurtful. These tactics that use unkind words might have the opposite effect of the anticipated goal. Snide remarks can send someone to food for comfort. People know they are obese; therefore, loved ones should quit telling them. Additionally, if they ask, it is fine to give advice. Otherwise, even with good intentions, friends and family should keep their mouths shut about obesity.
