The first character, The Logical Smart One, I pinpointed as my dad. I chose my dad to be the logical smart one, not only because he is a very smart and knowledgeable person, but also he is the person that keeps everyone else in the family strong and somewhat level headed. My dad is a very witty and sarcastic person and because of this he is very funny, but only if you under stands when he’s being funny and when he is being serious. My dad is typically the reasonable one of the family. He makes us think about things before we make a decision. However some time’s he can do things on a whim with out thinking about his decision and get himself into trouble. In Sedita’s character examples I feel like the majority of these characters had the same trait, they support the other characters, but occasionally they slip up and ultimately proves they are human too. My cousin Amanda is the Loveable Loser. Amanda is a very sweet girl, however she never really learns. She sees the good in everyone, very much like a child would. However, because of this trait she often is the one that ends up getting hurt in most situations. She aims to make everyone happy, and only hopes to get the same in return from everyone else, although most of the time that thought and consideration is never given back. In the book it brings up the fact of being a middle child. Although Amanda is not the middle child, some times she is definitely treated that way. Her mom and dad had a divorce when she was young and her mom ended up remarrying. My aunt received custody of Amanda so she lived with her mom and step dad. They ended up having a child, Jessica. Once she came into the picture Jessica was the child who could do no wrong. It seemed like Amanda was not as loved as Jessica, commonly how the middle child in most situations would be treated. Picking the Neurotic of the family, came a little too easy. My grandma is definitely the character of the neurotic. I hate to make fun of her because she is my elder, but she is kind of crazy. She is a 78 year-old woman who currently resides in a nursing home. She has been there about two years. Some of the characteristics that Sedita lays out that I feel perfectly describe her are: anxious, fearful, fussy, high strung, hypochondriac and worried. My grandmother is a very complex person, she likes to be on her own, but as of right now she is not able too because of the condition she is in. While she has been in the nursing home she is convinced that every night someone put her in a different room than she has been in her entire stay at the nursing home and then puts her back in her room before she …show more content…
Before we were even born we always were in competition with each other. I know that’s a weird thing to say that we weren’t born yet but we were in completion. The reason I say this is because my mom was trying to have me for close to a year and right before she became pregnant with me my aunt announces that she is pregnant with Jessica, therefore we’ve always been in competition with one another. Jessica is also very much a daddy’s girl, and when we were growing up she got everything she wanted. If I got something she didn’t have, she had to go out and get it too, she was very spoiled. Some times she could be very snobby, she just acted like she was better than everyone else, and her favorite thing seemed like was to upset our grandma. After she would do it though she would get upset and claim that I was the favorite grandchild and complain about it all the time. Although she was this way, she is one of the people I am closest to in my family and I think a lot of it has to do with our constant
