Conducts the proper intake, processing and stand by with all admitted psychiatric patients into the ED in accordance with all established policies and procedures. Consults with the ED Head Nurse and Security Manager, keeping them informed of all daily activities involving the oversight of admitted psychiatric patients. Follows procedures in response to all emergency code and demonstrates calm and controlled behaviors during a crisis situation, properly documents the findings and results of the code response. Participates in investigations as needed and maintains records and prepares incident reports and other documents pertinent to security activities daily. Conducts initial investigations appropriately and in accordance with established policies and procedures. Posts in the Emergency Department (ED). Provide support to the ED medical and nursing staff involving uncooperative, non-compliant and combative medical patients being serviced in the ED. Monitors conduct of all hospital visitors and
