Through the Ted Talk video about Security Mirage there were a lot of resemblance with Emergency Management. The understanding from security equaling tradeoff is one of the most important aspects that were looked at, and if the tradeoff really did effect someone’s safety. Looking at being able to give up a small aspect such as money, time or convenience to feel more secure within society is a big step in being prepared. Learning the difference between feeling secure and being secure also help to better understand how tradeoff can be beneficial.
