The lesson will be studied through a lecture, practical exercise, and discussion. The purpose of this lesson plan is to give employees of the Department of Juvenile Justice training on how to properly enter a juvenile into a secure facility and to release a youth from a secure facility according the Department of Juvenile Justice policy 17.1.

This course is being taught in a traditional classroom setting. The instructor will be educated in the intake procedure, because questions may arise about the intake process in a secure facility.more specifically, the formal way to release a youth from a secure facility.
