Although I have not taken the CO$_{2}$ emissions into account in previous chapters, Section 5.2.2 is the ideal setting with a zero carbon emission. In Section 5.2.2, I assume there is no gas-fired plant present and at least 50\% of the demand is supplied by my system, and the rest is satisfied by imports from the National Grid. This section includes three subsections, a fixed carbon price, a variable carbon price and a hard constraint on carbon emission.
