In the 2014 NCCU Faculty Handbook in section 2.4 Statement of Professional Ethics for the Faculty, it states, “We demonstrate respect for all students and uphold our roles as intellectual mentors and counselors. We seek to foster an atmosphere of intellectual honesty and academic inquiry. We evaluate the performances of our students accurately, fairly, and impartially.”
Additionally, inconsistencies with communication was present in my final performance evaluation on Calipso, which was a .05 from scoring a C instead of a F. Examples include:
Mrs. Rosenzweig states on Calipso (May, 9, 2017), “Multiple emails have been sent and conversations have been had regarding expectations. Megan has acknowledged the issue and made no excuses.” However, after reading this comment, I reviewed all the previous emails to and from the instructor. I discovered that I had only mentioned work in the first email on January 30, 2017. Additionally, in section 4.3.6: Office Hours and Advising in the 2014 Faculty Handbook states, “Provisions should be made to accommodate students’ schedules, and faculty members are reminded of their obligation to evening, weekend, and nontraditional students.”

Rosenzweig states on Calipso, “He kindergarten intervention data was missing for multiple weeks after asking for it repeatedly.” This is the exact phrasing she used on the Calipso to address her concerns about my work. There were not any guidelines given with regards to turning in data. I had the data completed and kept in a folder until clear written instructions were given to me as to when the data was due. On March 28, 2017, Mrs. Rosenzweig emailed that I was missing kindergarten intervention data and needs to be corrected by Thursday at noon (March 30, 2017).
