To experimentally measure the downward acceleration solely due to gravity at the surface of the earth and with negligible air resistance on a free-falling object, a piece of clear plastic with evenly spaced black bars, labelled as a “picket fence,” was suspended from a string and dropped through a Photogate sensor. This software is used to measure the actual acceleration of gravity to compare it to the value provided by literature review. The Photogate sensor transmits an infrared beam of light to a detector across a gap. It then determines and records data when the beam of light is blocked by an object. The part of the picket fence that blocks the beam of light in this experiment is the black bars.…

A play that has existed since the 1970s, Step on a Crack by Suzan Zeder is about a young child,Ellie, her widower father that has just remarried, and her new stepmother. Being somewhat biased due to the fact my cousin was the stage manager, I feel the presentation of the play as a whole was very well done. The set itself was relatively simple with them upstairs consisting of the living room and the downstairs containing Ellie's bedroom. The only change of sets was a quick scene where Ellie was wondering the dark and scary streets at night after a confrontation with her new mother. The play being written in the 70s, all the characters ,imaginary or not, were dressed accordingly with wonderful argyle and plaid everywhere.…
