Essay 3 Reflection
PART I As young adults, we realize we truly are the future and the decisions that we make affect the future either in a positive or a negative way. Furthermore in life as adults, we realize and accept that the future now lies in the hands of our children and grandchildren. Our first priority should be the nurturing and education of America's youth. Americans tend to overuse the saying “Children are our most precious commodity.” Americans say this saying a lot, but do we really live up to it? Children are truly taking for granted and overlooked. The reason why infant mortality rates was one of the most important, interesting and helpful piece of information that I learned in reading this essay and listening to lectures is simply because this is occurring in today’s world. Also I honestly can not believe that Americans are just throwing a poor defenseless life away without thinking twice about it. People all around the world are die due to some type of accident or disease they are diagnosed with, these people have their life taken from them without being able to do anything to stop it. I believe this is a very selfish and simple minded act that some Americans take part in, simply just killing a innocent life how cure. I feel like this has impacted my thoughts and behavior by believing when life is giving to you one must live it to the fullest because one never knows what will happen tomorrow or in the future to them. One must also be extremely thankful that they luckily weren’t those 7 out of 1,000 infants getting killed. Also must not take for granted the parents that one is blessed with because unfortunately others weren’t that lucky and got abusive parents. Personally I feel that I have changed my perspective on life and how I value it, life so much more and I am so thankful for my kind hearted parents that I got blessed with. Life is a test full of chances it is time that we start taking those chances and begin to put them to the
