The film called Second Skin is an interesting documentary that only informs the public but also make awareness of the ever growing issue of people becoming addicted to online games. The reason is since the invention of technology where it became portable and affordable to the public people have become obsessed with it. For example, if you ask an elder at what age they got a phone they would usually say when they were young adults. However, if a person asks a kid in the present day they would say a kid would get a phone as young as ten years old. Similar to the game technology in general has become an obsession to most people especially the younger generations. If a person goes on Youtube people can easily see kids younger than fifteen years of age ranting about whatever issue they see on television, social media, or an event that occurred at school. By this I meant people are now able to live in the comfort of their home because of the resources that are available. For example, if a person is hungry they can easily have food delivered to their home, shop online, and people are also able to work from home. Furthermore, in the movie Second Skin I saw how the gamers were solely focused on playing their games just to be able to reach a higher level. They would to this so gamers wouldn't have to deal with their everyday issues. To the support this, the second example is how a gamer played the online game for months with little sleep which caused him to lose his job and made him move back in with his mother. This is not a good thing because of his addiction the gamer won’t be able to further in life, or really do something product like working to sustain himself.
