Second Order Rotatory Theory Of Hydrodynamic Lubrication Essay

Great Essays
Abstract:The second order rotatory theory of hydrodynamic lubrication was founded on the expression obtained by retaining the terms containing first and second powers of rotation number in the extended generalized Reynolds equation. In the present paper, there are some new excellent fundamental solutions with the help of geometrical figures, expressions, calculated tables and graphs for the porous bearings in the second order rotatory theory of hydrodynamic lubrication. The analysis of equations for pressure and load capacity, tables and graphs reveal that pressure and load capacity are not independent of viscosity and increases slightly with viscosity. Also the pressure and load capacity both increases with increasing values of rotation number. …show more content…

After getting the permission from the ethical committee of the Iranian Legal Medicine Organization and consent from the donors’ family under the ethical rule adhered to the declaration of the Helsinki in 2008, twenty-four cervical spinal cords from the human cadavers were excised for the mechanical measurements. Candidate donors were screened and were rejected if any history of the brain or spinal cord trauma was found or if more than 10 h had elapsed since death. Cases in which infectious diseases were involved were excluded for safety reasons. The mean age of the donors was 72.28±7.29 years old. After the death of the individuals, the cords were excised form the cervical parts of the cadavers’ body and kept into a special package made for the transporting of the transplanted organs at 4 ºC. The spinal cord was transported into the mechanical testing laboratory and washed by solution of 0.90% w/v of NaCl with the…

Particle (steel and spherical particles) waterjet is a new type of waterjet that can effectively break rock and other materials. In this study, simulation combined with experimental method was conducted to optimize the jet parameters (i. e., velocity, water pressure, impact time, concentration, diameter, and standoff distance) for modeling the rock breaking performance of a particle waterjet. In particular, the changes in the rock and particle properties after the impact were analyzed based on the Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH) method with ANSYS-DYNA software. Rock breaking experiments were performed by changing the particle waterjet parameters, considering the field application. In addition, the effects of particle waterjet parameters…

duction: A cantilever is a rigid beam vertically supported on only one end with a load on the other end (“Wikipedia”). Typically, if one were to place a weight towards the free end of a cantilever, some bending, or flexion, would be expected. Flexion, in this case, is the action of bending or the condition of being bent (“Merriam-Webster”).…
