Professors from Bloomberg School of Public Health Daniel W. Webster and Jon S. Vernick reveled intriguing results from their study. “In addition to the 31,672 people killed by guns in 2010, another 73,505 were treated in hospital emergency rooms for nonfatal bullet wounds, and 337,960 nonfatal violent crimes were committed with guns. Of those 31,672 dead, 61 percent were suicides, and the vast majority of the rest were homicides by people who knew one another”(shermer). It is now know that some Americans in society take their freedom to bare arms for granted. Every day some Americans are being shot, wither it is out of jealously or hate, their lives are on a balance of life or death. For the 61 perfect who are inflicting self-harm, they are still committing a murder, which is investigated by the police. The Federal Government needs to take these facts into consideration in order to keep our country safe from these shootings whether it is fatal or nonfatal the intent is still there. Our rights were given to us to fight for freedom not to inflict mass murder in a heavily populated
