It leaves viewers with three false impressions: (1) that SeaWorld keeps on gathering whales from the wild right up 'til the present time; (2) that Tilikum himself was gathered via SeaWorld; and (3) that the accumulations done four decades prior were illicit. None of this is valid. SeaWorld does not gather killer whales in the wild, and has not done as such in more than 35 years. Tilikum was not gathered via SeaWorld. What's more, the accumulations four decades prior were directed in consistence with government laws, according to governmentally issued grants around then.
The film highlights two partitions. In one example, including a whale named Takara, the film abandons you with the impression she was a calf when differentiated. Truth be told, Takara was 12 years of age when she was moved. In the second, including a whale named Kalina, the film misleadingly demonstrates footage of a calf that is just days old.
