We know from surveys completed in 2014 “Blackfish” had some impact on our public’s perceptions about SeaWorld. Although this provides some insight, we know if “Blackfish” is still an issue in October 2015. The only way we can get a clear idea of the issue at hand is to survey SeaWorld’s public to determine their current perceptions of SeaWorld. We need to determine if the perceptions are caused by “Blackfish,” negative media attention, or other factors.
After we determine our public’s perception of SeaWorld, we can use the information to start PR campaigns and outreach efforts. SeaWorld can continue to survey the public to understand their current perception and thoughts, and will be able to evaluate if their efforts are successful.
