Seasonal affective disorder is basically depression that is triggered by the seasons changing. It most commonly affects people 6 years old and up. It affects the individual in the fall and can continue to affect them throughout the winter. Some common symptoms are feeling hopeless, always being tired, feeling depressed, being more moody, feeling anxious, social withdrawal, loss of energy, appetite changes, loss of concentration, weight gain, and wanting to be alone. Seasonal affective disorder is typically self diagnosable which means that you are the person that recognizes the symptoms and decides to get treatment. You can get treatment by talking to a therapist and in some cases getting medicine. This mental illness is very common and affects
