Since 1967, several Hollywood movies have been filmed in and around Versailles, including Secretariat and Dreamer. The choice of Versailles for these two movies about racehorses seems especially fitting — the town is surrounded by thoroughbred farms and is a major center for the breeding and training of racehorses as well as pleasure horses.
