Seaboard Foods is an integrated food company dedicated to six commitments. One of these commitments is to community. Two of the ways Seaboard Foods shows their commitment are volunteerism and community betterment. Since 2015, Seaboard Foods has sponsored Operation BBQ Relief, which provides compassion and hot meals to those affected by natural disasters and members of the military. This commitment is expressed through monetary donations and additionally by encouraging their employees to volunteer.

Goals
Reinforce the company’s commitment to community through OBR. Encourage employee volunteer support of OBR.
Objectives:
1. Have the communications department publish one intranet article every quarter highlighting the partnership between Seaboard Foods and OBR, in order to reach 5,000 employees.
2. Advertise the information regarding the OBR May 24th volunteer opportunity in Bethesda, Maryland in the communication departments’ spring newsletter to be sent out to 5,000 employees.
3. Create a quarterly newsletter to specifically highlight the collaboration between Seaboard Foods and OBR and have the communications department send it out to all 5,000 employees.
4. Have the communications department publish one SBF Connect app post and notification to accompany each intranet article every quarter highlighting the partnership between Seaboard Foods and OBR, in order to reach 5,000 employees.
5. Display slides created by the communications trainee highlighting the partnership between Seaboard Foods and OBR on the digital signage in all Seaboard Food locations.
