The book, The Sea of Monsters written by Rick Riordan is a book like no other. The author integrated the the real world with Greek stories to show the readers how life would be different this way. The main character, Percy faced problems with his families such as accepting Tyson as his brother, Percy learns to accept the fact that even though his dad was a busy man he still showed sympathy towards him. At the end, Percy learns from his problems that acceptance is the guideline to triumph.

In this book, Percy Jackson goes on a quest to save Camp Half-Blood along with the help of his friend, Annabeth Chase, and Tyson, his half-brother who turns out to be a cyclops. Thalia’s tree was poisoned and Hermes convinces them to escape the camp in

At first, when Tyson comes to Camp Half-Blood, Percy is embarrassed to admit that Tyson is his brother. He didn’t like being known as “the poor schmuck with the ugly monster as a brother”. He was angry at his dad for sending him a monster instead of a regular half-blood for a brother. Towards the end of the book, Percy realizes how kind Tyson was to him after all those things he did to him. No matter what, Tyson was always there by his side keeping him away from danger. What really changed Percy’s opinion towards Tyson was when Tyson told him that Percy was the friend that he asked Poseidon for, but better. I mean if you deeply think about it, you will be realize that Percy’s a bit like Harry. They both are better at fighting than at things that involve their brain. The two protagonists have two sidekicks, who are a boy and a girl. The villains, Kronos and Voldemort both become stronger every book. In both books, there is an item they use to get away with things. In the Olympian series, Annabeth has an invisible Yankee’s cap which was given to her from her mother. In the Harry Potter series, he owns an invisibility cloak which once belonged to his dad.
