Señora Betlach: Your Spanish Teacher Is My Hero

“Your Spanish teacher is your hero?!” I knew from the moment that I stepped into her class she would have an impact on my life. I tried out for activities that I never thought I was capable of accomplishing on behalf of her. She has also provided me with an immense personality that brightens people’s day. Señora Betlach is my hero seeing she inspired me to take actions I never thought I could undertake, inspiring me to be an overall exceptional person, and helping me excel in my work and sports. “This year will change you into more sophisticated, mature, young adults.” This statement was terrifying to me due to the fact that it sounded like a lot of responsibility. This led to an I-am-not-going-to-make-it-through-the-year attitude. Homework

A motif that haunts the months of college applications and preparation is the daunting idea of seniors entering into the "real world." An alleged, new realm of reality that discredits the validity of the last few years in high school, not to mention the three before that and all the experiences previously. This concept coincides seamlessly with the idea that college is a beacon of newfound adulthood. Even so, each student's differing personality, aspirations, culture and tribulations falsifies the belief that adulthood is that straightforward. Thus, in order to define the moment that marked my transition into adulthood, I must first define what being an adult means to me.…

Senior Year My greatest memory so far in my eighteen years of being on this earth is without a doubt my senior year of high school. It was absolutely unforgettable. My senior year as a whole (which was just last year) was the most fun I’ve ever had in my life and the happiest I have ever been. When I was a chubby little freshman with glasses I thought to myself that high school would be one of the longest time periods of my life and that four years would feel like forty years. But man was I wrong, high school went by in the blink of an eye.…
