Screen time for children has some pros and cons about it. I believe that very young children, like younger than 4, should not have any screen time at all. However, when kids grow up they will start to need a phone for contacting family and such. Also, in school, sometimes the internet is needed to answer a question on homework. More time online for young kids can be hurtful to their interaction with the outside world.…

Although there are obvious benefits to both arguments, I think that having screen time is a vital thing for children to have growing up, especially in the 21st century. I also understand the disadvantages of having too much screen time. I think that it is up to the parents' discretion the exposure to screens that their child has, taking into account the childs age and social abilities, among several other factors. Personally, I shut off my electronics about thirty minutes before going to bed, because I have learned that if I am on them up until the minute I go to bed, I will have a significantly harder time falling asleep then I would had I shut them off a mere thirty minutes before. Also, I know that you need a balance between screen time…

The argument between whether or not children should have screentime, is flawed as a whole. After it had become too late for enviromental play, I would choose between watching tv with family, movie alone or with sibling, or video games. Often choosing video games I must say, my ability to read and analyze situations was above my class.…

This might seem impossible with access to his or her phones 24 hours a day, but limiting yourself to 5 to 10 minutes of phone time, a child can have the rest of the 1 hour and 50 minutes to watching a movie, doing homework or watching their favorite television show.
