Finch once again gave me an answer “Jem says I was. He read in a book where I was a Bullfinch instead of a Finch. The interference of her studies had to stop, it’s only polluting and damaging her learning. My intentions were not to be rude in anyway, but I want my students to learn with a fresh mind rather than being contaminated by some unplanned lessons, I know my lessons are capable of helping my students. Without delay, I had to proceed with my lessons, most of the students were very attentive and silent, but of course there was this tiny exception , Mrs. Jean Louise Finch, I caught her writing a letter, another problem. In the meantime, a student’s desk caught my eye, there wasn’t any type of lunch, not a sandwich nor a piece of bread, nothing. The student was Walter Cunningham. My doubts had to be answered “did you forget your lunch this morning?” I said. Since I didn't get an answer I asked one more time, this time Walter answered with a yes. Letting one of my students without a proper meal during school time was not an option so I offered Walter a quarter so he could buy some lunch today and also the alternative to pay me tomorrow. I really thought he was going to accept my offer, but surprisingly he said no. A no as an answer was not acceptable so I insisted. When Walker shook his head saying no once again. I heard a whisper mentioning Mrs. Finch. She proceeds saying that he was a Cunningham. My first reaction was being puzzled “What Jean Louise?” I said. Mrs. Finch tried once again to explain that he was a Cunningham. I began to feel irritated since she was being so vague and not going straight to the point, leaving me with doubts. She soon explained me that the Cunninghams were people who will never take anything that they can’t pay back and since they don’t have much, they get along with it.
