Scotty Cameron: Changing the Golf World The name “Scotty Cameron” may not mean much to someone who is not fully familiarized with golf equipment and the people and companies that make it, but for someone who is, he is just known as “Scotty.” Scotty Cameron is a golf rock star (Sports & News). Yes, Scotty Cameron is a real person, not just a corporate name like Titleist, Taylormade, or Callaway, three of the more golf equipment production companies; however, all four companies are in golf club production business. Since then, there have been over three hundred PGA Tour victories and thirty-six major championship victories. The major golf tournaments are: The Masters, The U. S. Open, The British Open, and The PGA Championship (Tour Victories). This innumerable amount of players and their accomplishments, that does not even include other, still very popular, professional tours, do all the advertising for Scotty Cameron. Scotty Cameron and his company rely on the player’s success to showcase the equipment in a positive fashion. Their hope each week is that a player using a Scotty Cameron putter wins the tournament each weekend. They don’t have television advertisements or billboards on the local freeways, but it works for them.
