I am so excited for 7th grade, although it’s so hard to leave Scott School. I have a lot of memories at Scott School, but I’m hoping to make some new ones at North High School in 7th grade. I also have had some great experiences at Scott School.
In kindergarten, I remember having a loft in our classroom where we would read to ourselves at recess or when the teacher said to. I also remember having lunch very early in the morning. Mrs. Boeglin was my teacher in kindergarten and she was very nice, sadly though she retired after that year.
1st grade as I remember was very fun. My teacher was Mrs. Brothers and she was very nice and fun. That year we got to read a book in front of the class and I read cat in the hat my favorite book in 1st grade.

I made a lot of my good friends that year and the next, I had so much fun in 2nd grade. 3rd grade was a great year, my teacher was Mrs. Willis and she was so nice. That year I took a field trip to Marengo Cave I loved that field trip, and I took lots of pictures of the cave too. I started Istep that year and I was so excited for it, but after I took it, I didn’t like it as much because I thought it was really hard.
4th grade was so fun because that was the first year we got to have two classes and two teachers. My homeroom teacher was Mrs. Garland who taught English Language Arts, and my other teacher was Ms. Hughart who is now Mrs. Smith who taught Math and Science. I went on a field trip to New Harmony that year and it was so much fun, I got to make soap and candles there too. My homeroom teacher was Mrs. Decker who taught Math and Science, Mrs. Burke was my other teacher who taught English Language Arts and Social Studies, and both of my teachers were very fun and funny. My teacher Mrs. Decker moved down the road from my house that year too, and it was so cool to have my teacher live down the road from me. In 5th grade we also had enrichment, which is where every grading period you would choose an activity to do every Friday. In enrichment I did Recycling with Mrs. Decker twice, Shutterfly with Mrs. Burke, and cooking with Mrs.

Many forget that these things are not guaranteed to others that live in different places. I realized how fortunate I am to live in America when I met someone from another country.…

To this day, I remember my kindergarten teacher Ms.Karagarto. Even though I was obviously very young when she taught me, I still remember how great of both a teacher and person she was. When I left Kindergarten, I knew that I wanted to be a teacher because of her and to this day I haven’t changed my mind about it. Whenever I go home to Houston and am in the area, I always make it a priority to go by her classroom and visit her. Since I was young, I have spent both my school years and summers babysitting and nannying, and both of these things have shown me that I absolutely love spending my time with and interacting with children.…
