Scott Kelly Has Spent In Space

1. Scott Kelly spent 340 days in space along with another astronaut. This is the longest time an American astronaut has spent in space. The main goal of this mission is to see the effects of being in space for a long time, so one day we can go to Mars. Scott Kelly has an identical twin brother, Mark. Mark spent the past year on earth while Scott was in space. Scientists will be able to spot any genetic changes that might have occurred in Scott while he was in space by comparing the identical twins. So far, we know that Scott has grown two inches.

2. A year in space can have many long term effects on your body. Due to the long period of time astronauts are not walking, there bones can become brittle. Similarly, muscles can weaken because you
