Scott Bradshaw is innocent due to the regulation of reasonable doubt. According to dictionary.com reasonable doubt is defined as “uncertainty as to a criminal defendant's guilt; the level of certainty a juror must have to find a defendant guilty of a crime.” Due to the facts of the case and the forensics report, there is enough reasonable doubt to keep Bradshaw from being convicted of one murder count. The other murder count is of Jeff Booker and he was shot inside the store and ran down the street bleeding out and dying 2 blocks down the street.

Bradshaw will be found innocent because he was using his weapon in self-defense. When the three men entered his store Mr. Bradshaw witnessed them pull guns out of their coat and begin demanding to be let in. He also claims that he only fired in self-defence. As Mr. Bradshaw fires the gun he unloads his .38 caliber revolver one full time inside of the store firing a total of 6 shots, whereas the three men fired 3 shots from the two guns, 2 from one gun and 1 from the other. With one of the shots, Mr. Bradshaw managed to hit Thomas Booker in the chest who then continued to run 2 blocks and collapse and die, likely from blood loss and trauma. Mr. Bradshaw then continued out through his security cage where he reloads the gun and followed the men outside and continued firing. He managed to also hit Jeff Booker who was in his car reaching for something under the passenger seat. Because Jeff Booker was reaching for something under the seat, which ended up being either keys or a crowbar, Mr. Bradshaw could not see Jeff so he could have assumed that Jeff was reaching for another weapon, since Jeff Booker was reaching for something that could not be seen then Mr. Bradshaw had the right to shoot him because he was unable to see what the criminal was reaching for. On account of Jeff Booker dieing from a wound he received inside of the store and Thomas Booker being shot while reaching for something inside of his coat Mr. Bradshaw will be found innocent on both counts of
