In Greek mythology, the constellation Scorpius was identified with the scorpion that killed Orion, the mythical hunter. The two constellations lie opposite each other in the sky, and Orion is said to be fleeing from the scorpion as it sets just as Scorpius rises.

Antares
Antares is known as the heart of the Scorpius constellation due to several reasons being, its red colour, being the brightest star in that constellation, and also being in the body or main area of the Scorpio.

Antares is estimated to have surface temperatures of around 3000C (5400F), around half as hot as the sun. The absolute magnitude of this star is -5.28 making it the 16th brightest star in the entire sky. Antares’ position is RA:16h 29m 24s, dec: -26° 25′ 55″ and is 619.7 light years away
Shaula
Shaula is the second brightest star in the Scorpius constellation and it also known for it being made up from two stars, Shaula and Lesath. The name Shaula is an Arabic word that mean the stinger, as it the star that makes up the stinger on the constellation along with Lesath. Shaula is a hot subgiant star, but the star seems to be more of a hydrogen fusing dwarf.
The estimated age of the star system is about 10-13 million years, and the surface temperature is 23,000. Its apparent magnitude of 1.62 makes it one of the 25 brightest stars in the sky and it’s estimated positon is 17h33.7m, Dec. - 37°06−. Its distance from the earth is about 300 light-years.
