Scope/focus of ARP
The focus of my ARP is on understanding the negative stigma surrounding seeking assistance with suicidal ideations within the military culture. The focus of my ARP is on military members because of the alarmingly high rate of military suicides in the past 10 years. As of yet there are no reliable explanations for the dramatic increase in military suicides. As a military member myself, this trend is very real and affects my daily life.
Level of comfort I am very comfortable with this topic and the population in question. I feel that my unique position as a military member and psychology student will allow me to effectively interact with military members and apply the gathered research material in such a way as to facilitate
