Scoliosis is a curve in the spine. When viewed When viewed from the side, the spine shows a roundness in the upper back and an inward curvature in the lower back. A person without Scoliosis’s back appears straight, while when someone with scoliosis is viewed from the front or back, the spine appears to be curved. There aren’t any actual causes of scoliosis though some may appear due to Congenital scoliosis, Neuromuscular scoliosis, Degenerative scoliosis, and Idiopathic scoliosis. According to MedicineNet.com (2015) Congenital scoliosis is a bone abnormality caused at birth. Neuromuscular scoliosis is an abnormality seen in the muscles and/or nerves.
