Llywelyn, C. (2015, June 23). Why I Left Scientology. Retrieved November 09, 2017, from http://gawker.com/why-i-left-scientology-1703997050 Carmen Llywelyn is an actress and photographer. She used to be part of Scientology and was a Scientologist for eight years. She is no longer with Scientology and I think that would make her be against it because she left for a reason. Her purpose is to show her audience, anyone that wants to know about Scientology, what she went through in while being part of it.

It’s relevant as it was only 3 years ago that it was published. In this article, most of her evidence was personal experience that she when through while being a member of Scientology. Some people can say that this would be biased information since it’s just from her point of view, but it’s her story and how she saw it. Some information I think that might of being omitted what the point of view of Scientology and how they run it. She goes of how she saw and felt about a certain situation that she went through but she never states actual facts form Scientology itself. Reflection I do see why people would say that it should still be considered as a religion because are in the United States and the people have the right to freedom of religion. I personally don’t see it as a religion because I don’t think it’s a religion if one needs to pay to advance in their “religion.” This article taught me a bit more about how people are brainwashed in Scientology to believe certain things. Llywelyn, even after she left Scientology behind she still found it hard to move past the brainwashing she went through. As of right now, I don’t see Scientology as a religion.

Standing up for what you believe in is hard enough, but when dealing with a cult like organization it's even harder. They will slander your name and do everything in their power to ruin your life, but for many people they’d rather spread their message than be silenced once more. Leah Remini is a former Scientologist of over 30 years who broke from the church. After experiencing years of abuse from the church she is actively speaking out against the organization. With the help of her new tv show and people who share the same opinions about Scientology she is showing people what it is really like to be a Scientologist and to help put a stop to this abuse.…

One can speak of loss and salvation in purely physical senses, but this is not what is meant in religious contexts. A drowning man who is saved from death is not saved religiously speaking. He is saved physically; his ordinary mundane life is preserved so that he can go back to doing what he was doing before. His being rescued may work a moral or spiritual transformation in him, temporary or permanent, but then again it might not. Back on terra firm, he might just go back to eating, drinking, copulating, and piling up…

Many Christians are leaving the church because of what they come across inside the church; they do not understand why they are going to church. Paul says we are predestined (Ephesians 1: 5 NKJV), God chooses us to salvation (2 Thess. 2:13 NKJV), He does not choose us to be lost, and He never condemns men who deserve to be saved (Rom. 9: 22 – 25). God determined ahead of time that all who would be saved would also be adopted into His family as sons, He could have saved us without making us His sons but He chose to do both. As sons of God, we belong to a family, so we are members of the body of Christ, for a church body to function properly; all of its “body parts” need to be present and working.…
