Scientific Psychology

Psychology is the scientific study of behavior and mental process, it describes, explains, and predicts behavior. The scientific function of psychology or psychologists method is similar to a lab chemist or scientist. Researchers prefer facts, to produce better results: by this the scientific method is utilized. The first approach taken in scientific method is a question asked, followed by forming a hypothesis, the hypothesis is then tested, a conclusion is drawn and the final step is a written report of the findings. This method is to help reduce errors and bias, and rely more on facts. Scientific psychology help to formulate ideas for study by natural observation, surveys, laboratory observation and case studies.

As a Christian one must learn its inner self, one must understand, recognize its own body, soul and spirit. A psychologist can contribute by educating Christian churches on the large amount of mental health that exists in today's society. They can also influence the church on support groups, or programs, and help to deliver other resources for personal problems such as drug and alcohol addiction, along with school bullying. Since psychology is the scientific study of behavior and thinking of humans and non- humans they study and emphasize how people cope with their own behavior a counselor who is one sublet of psychologist can help by counseling the people of the Christian church. They can create activities, workshops and seminars with the youth, in relationships, and marriages. According to my personal opinion counselor psychologists are somewhat related to the work of ministry, counselor psychologists help people to understand their feelings.
