Nonbelievers argue that if you believe in science there is no way that you could possibly believe in God or religion. When the creation of the world as stated in the bible contradict that of modern science it is easy to see why there would be so few scientists who believe. According to pewforum.org, only 33% of today's scientists believe in a religion. However, it is possible to be knowledgeable in both science and still believe in God.
According to the Genesis, the earth was created in 6 days. Sceptics assess this to not be true as it must be impossible to create all the earth has in 6 24-hour days. They are so focused on the days it took to create the earth they miss that the bible does not specify the time (JW.org). Their reasoning is that the earth is composed of various different layers of sedimentary soil containing a variety of

However, build up of sedimentary soils do not take years to build up. Layers of sediment settle with the movement of water and, "the thickness of the sediment is dependent upon the size of the particles within the water" (fondriest.com). With this knowledge, it can be assessed that something like this would have happened during the great flood in Genesis. The massive amount of water that swept of the earth would have given plenty of time for particles to settle in varying layers and colors. This proves that just because some scientist has a theory it does not mean that they have thought about every possible option for there to be varying layers of sediment on the earth. There is not only biblical proof of the flood God brought but scientists like William Ryan believe that the sediment proves it

In 2004, an article was published by Paul L. Maier which provided historical evidence of the Flood event described in the Bible. He states that the Flood recorded in the Bible, in Genesis 6-8, is also recorded by the Egyptians, Mesopotamians, and Greeks . Other such findings in his studies includes the Nuzi Tablets which include information about the practices described in Genesis such as marriage arrangements and ancient laws .This evidence gives proof that the event did happen and is recognized by ancient civilizations. This information is important because it gives credibility to the Bible and if schools want to teach hard facts supported by evidence, then what better place than in one of the oldest history books in…

Laudato Si’ is the second encyclical of Pope Francis – Our Holy Father addresses all people, not just the faithful. In the closing paragraph of the encyclical, Pope Francis writes on the negative effects he has seen/experienced concerning God’s creation, “current attitudes and behaviors are not only wrong in a moral sense, they are also wrong in a practical sense. They have not worked. They have given us a world that is broken and unjust: where the wealthy worry about obesity while the extreme poor have next to nothing, and the whole planet… “is beginning to look more and more like an immense pile of filth.” This is no accident, for when “nature is viewed solely as a source of profit and gain, this has serious consequences for society.”…

The Bible also gives a pictorial view of what exactly happened. Looking at a globe, one cannot deny that the land masses of continents could connect together like a jigsaw puzzle to make one large land mass. This shows that the world we live in today is nothing like the world before the flood. Looking at the evidence deposited in the earth from thousands of years ago, something that can be seen, touched, smelled, will be paramount in understanding the truth about the Great Flood. As a matter of fact, the evidence of fossils will not only prove there was aquatic life over the earth, but evidence in high places around the globe.…

“Set your affections on things above; love one another; commune at the table of our Lord in one spirit; worship in spirit and in truth; and if daily adoring, imploring, and living the divine Life, Truth, Love, thou shalt partake of the bread that cometh down from heaven, drink of the cup of salvation, and be baptized in Spirit,” wrote Mary Baker Eddy in 1898 (Christian Science Versus Pantheism). Many argue that either God created the conditions for evolution or point to patterns occurring in nature as evidence that the universe is not random but created by an intelligent human being. People who believe in Creationism argue that evolution is a “Theory” and not a fact and should be taught as much. Other creationists believe in an older Earth with species separately by God. Although science cannot test issues of Faith, scientific studies have disproved many elements of Creationism.…

The principle of divine creation has been debated for centuries and modern advances in science spurred many theories attempting to prove a different age and creation of the earth. There are many religions in the world, each with their own traditions, beliefs, and rituals which often contradict each other. Growing up in household in which both parents come from different regions and have different religions, has affected my outlook on religions as a whole. Whenever I’m asked the question “what religion do you practice?” , I’m always unsure how to answer that because I don’t know the answer to that myself. I pray and worship to the Creators of both religions without discrimination but some ideologies don’t always see eye to eye and in those cases I do what’s write according to my morals.…

Science is able to explain these ‘supernatural forces’ with proof and evidence. Science and religion have always been at war. Science is based on observation and what we can explain using formulae and theorem. Religious arguments on the other hand, are questionable in nature and require faith.…
