I believe that in society today, science is more beneficial than religion because it is more logical and creates advances to our society and the people in it. Scientific theories are based off information and research done by scientists, unlike the theories in religion. Science has also changed the way we live and interact with people. when you look at, and compare, the way science and religion deal with a medical problem you find that science is more focused on tangible medical help unlike certain religion who believe that praying for someone will heal them and remove all unwanted illnesses. As long as religion steps in the way of science there will be fewer advances in our society. I remember a day in eighth grade when we were asked questions and asked to go to one side of the room if we say yes and the other if we say no. We were asked, do you think that religion should determine whether or not scientific discoveries are released to the public? For example if scientists had proven that god wasn 't real should the public know? I remember that I was the only one that said that no matter what information scientifically discovered ti should be brought to the public.
