As society increases and changes, science fiction is there to show us what will happen if we continue on this particular path. Almost every news report or debate about CCTV cameras is like Orwell’s 1984 or Huxley’s Brave New World. When we uncovered Dolly, the world’s first cloned sheep; the audience was in shocked and didn’t believe what they were saying. But science fiction fans were not surprised. Why you may ask. Well is because they have been reading stories about cloned animals and humans for thirty years. They were prepared for cloning in a way few others were not. But not just cloning. For example Winston in George Orwell’s 1984, or the narrator in HG Wells’ War of the Worlds, or Robert Neville in Richard Matheson’s I am Legend. These are three men that face dangerous futures. I or other people read from their point of view you feel like you are the experiencing this and not the character in the book. In these novels their worlds to be turned upside down and they come close or just lose everything they had or o bed about. When I read these types of book I wonder “What would I do?” Once I finish reading these stories it makes me wonder about many things. People actually learn a lesson when they read a book, I sure
