Billy Gibbons once said, “There is not a single genre that is hard to find or hard to get.” There are many different kinds of genres out there that people can read. There is romance, historical, non-fiction, science fiction, and many others. A genre is grouped together when there is something similar between the different books or movies. No matter what genre someone looks at there is something that catches their eyes and makes them like it. A genre that has a lot of eye-catching characteristics is science fiction. Science fiction is a way to express all the possibilities that can happen to an event, and over the history of science fiction, there are many different examples of what people think it is. Science fiction is a hard genre to describe. This is because there are so many books and movies that can be classified as science fiction. A general description of science fiction is all the possibilities that can be thought of(Franklin). Another definition of science fiction is the guessing of how the present and the future are going to be or how the past could be (Calvin). Because science fiction is a hard genre to group together and describe, it makes it hard to classify something as science fiction. There are a lot of books and movies that can be classified as science fiction because of this people can read lots of different books, and they can watch lots of different movies.
