In the first poem we read, "The End of Science Fiction" the speaker talked about how the genre, science fiction, is dying. In the speaker's point of view I'd say that he wants the genre to be based here on Earth instead of outer space or unrealistic activities going on in a regular scifi story. In the first poem, the speaker says that science fiction needs to invent new ideas for it to be restored to its true meaning. Then in the second poem, the speaker hates on the science fiction writers for using the same ideas that previous writers have already used before. However, both of these speakers aren't in their shoes so they wouldn't know how difficult it is to come up with new ideas in the science fiction would. Many or most of the ideas have already been taken by previous writer and their only option is to use those same ideas, but these science fiction writers use it in a different way from one another. The science fiction writers of today have it the hardest because they might think they may have come up with a new idea, but most likely its already been used in the past. At least they change up the idea in a way that may have never been used
