Experimenting and going through trials with my science projects have always been a blast. My first year completing a science project, I did a "cloud in a bottle." Going through trials to create a cloud in a bottle were tricky, but in the end it all worked out and I received an A. I sometimes get frustrated if I don't do an experiment right or it won't work, but just like my English teacher, Mrs. Miller, said, "You have to fail to succeed." All my projects have …show more content…
My dad is an expert when it comes to using power tools. Learning how to hammer in nails, use power tools, and paint are all good life skills to have. Creating this doghouse had also made me closer to my dad. This project took a couple of months to complete and I loved spending all the time I had with him. For a hypothesis, we were going to see if the whole dog house could withstand two-hundred pounds on top of it. For the three trials, I had my dad stand on different spots on the roof. As I predicted, the doghouse withstood each trial. In the end, I didn't get to compete in the science fair competition, but spending time with my dad and learning life skills made up for it. In conclusion, it is not all about the first place, second place, and third place. Learning new things, experimenting, and having fun is what it's all about. If it weren't for my dad and his knowledge in science, I wouldn't have been able to come up with creative ideas for my science fair projects. I'm can't wait to pick up my next rubric and starting experimenting this
