What is religion? Religion is defined as an organized system of beliefs, ceremonies, and rules used to worship a god or gods. In every belief, there is some form of higher power that protects us and guides us through our lives. According to the Hartford Institute of Religion, there are 217 different denominations in America, as of 2006; since then many more have been introduced into our society. Those who believe in religion have been taught that the world and everything in it was created by God (higher power). The debates on religion vs. science on these matters is legitimate. It has been genetically proven that humans and apes have a 98% similarity in genetic make-up, a win for science. But from a religious stand point the question has been brought up about on why we have two of everything except a heart, brain and liver? Could evolution of the human body really be that precise on how our bodies produce hormones, on the functions of our kidneys, waste excretion?
