Noradrenaline and depression-
Noradrenaline, also known as adrenaline, is a hormone which is released by the adrenal medulla and by the sympathetic nerves; a functional group of neurotransmitter. Also it is used as a drug to raise blood pressure. Noradrenaline is secreted by the adrenal glands, which is in charge of releasing stress hormones.
When this hormone is secreted it raises blood pressure and the blood sugar in the body. This energy is secreted to the muscles which is then used to fight or flight from danger. The SNRI shows positive results in patients compared to the ones treated with a placebo as it this allowed to strengthen the links between the deletion and the neurotransmitters.

Seligman’s researched with the use of animals (1975). From this he has recognized that the dogs learnt helplessness due to the fact of being unable to form the cognitive tasks. In 1974, Miller Seligman has found out that depressed students performed really poorly on the similar tasks on some degree. The inability of felling helpless greatly improved the performance, especially those who are depressed.
Hopelessness
Negative attribution is more common in men than in women. From Kwon and Laurenceau in 2002 proved this information from their research. It has been found out that people with an increased negative attribution were associated with the symptoms of depression when stressed. Women are more associated to think negatively than men; (Notman and Nadelson 1995), which may be one of the reason why more women are diagnosed with depression than men
