Schools Should Not Have Harsher Punishment For Bullying

Improved Essays
Another reason that schools should not have harsher punishments for bullying is that punishments make children more likely to commit another act of bullying. This is because they will get mad and try to take their anger out on someone. As educator and author Barbara Coloroso pointed out in her book The Bully, The Bullied, and the Bystander, punishment teaches the bully "To be more aggressive and hurtful.” This just causes the bully to bully more. This is why schools should not have harsher punishments for bullying.
