Months into my first semester at the University of Michigan-Dearborn, I had felt a disconnection with the profession I had chosen--doctor. After classes came to an end, I then transferred to Schoolcraft College (for financial reasons I decided to finish my prerequisites for nursing school elsewhere). At my stay at Schoolcraft College, I made the Dean’s list, was initiated into the Honor Society, Phi Theta Kappa, and graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Science. After graduation, I decided to take a nursing assistant program at Schoolcraft College, which I have recently completed.
All in all, I am determined to push myself through college in order to better myself academically. Growing up, I had watched my father try to battle his addiction with alcohol, but regardless of this, ended- up working two to three jobs in order to support his family. As for the other important teammate in my family, my mother who has worked endlessly to try to provide for her children, and at the end of the day still manage to be a great mother.
