School Year Goal Analysis

Improved Essays
In the introduction of this course, we were asked to set three goals and a plan for the academic school year. Im proud to say that I accomplished all those three goals I set for myself. These three goals were to study more for my classes, be more accomplished, and more alert about my grades. The plan was to embellish my cumulative GPA by achieveing a 4.0 for my sophomore term. The adjustments I made improved my GPA, however, I didnt manage the 4.0 but, I haven't given up because the semester hasnt terminated. I am still determined to accomplish my plan. I absolutely studied more for my classes this year, especially this one, this had remarkable impact on my grades because in most classes the classification of your grade is heavily dependent on the score of your exams. This class is the one I studied for the most because its the class that was a bit more challenging than the rest and …show more content…
I havent given up because the school year hasnt completely ended and I believe I am capable of accomplishing this goal. I have all A's and one B. The B is close to being an A, its just a couple of points away. This proves that the adjustments I made have worked because if I didnt go check in with my teacher, I wouldnt have the opportunity to raise it up to an A and I would have repeated the same mistake as last year. Now that I have the opportunity in my hands I wont let it go. Hopefully, I manage to get the 4.0 before this semester ends. To conclude, these adjustments have been very helpful and will also aid me in the future. I am more determined than ever to achieve the 4.0 for my sophomore term, this will ameliorate my cumulative GPA. The reason why I want an exceptional GPA is because I want to go to a prestigious university and demonstrate that I am a competitive and persevering individual. I will absolutely use these tools in the future to assist me to maintain my academic progress going and going beyond

Im proud to say that my new years resolution will be complete when final grades post. I wanted to get my gpa back up to a 2.0 and I am more than positive that it will, after calculating my gpa with different grade outcomes. This is the second time I have taken Student Development and I am so thankful that I did. This time around I learned how to do things that will help me throughout my college experience and, I am going to use them over and over again in order to be successful in school. For example, I learned how to calculate my gpa, and how to manage stress which turned out to be much more help than I had initially thought it would.…

I have chosen to focus on 5.3A because this is an indicator that I plan to focus on next year. This year, I would rate myself a 2.5 out of 4 on this indicator because I feel there is significant room to improve on these practices. Although I have helped student use various resources to create goals for the future, I have not focused on helping them self advocate for the attainment of such nor follow through on these goals throughout the entire year. Many of my students create goals and never make a plan for how they will realistically obtain them. In the future, I hope to encourage students to monitor their goals more closely and help them follow through on said goals throughout the entire year.…

I am writing to request a complete course withdrawal for courses taking Spring 2016. During Spring 2016 I encountered challenges that hindered my ability to perform at my best academic ability; I believe that the marks I had received were a result of my circumstances. I wish wholeheartedly that the turn of events that occurred this past year were different, but that is not possible and I feel it is necessary to explain myself and the reasoning behind my Insubstantial GPA. I admit, I had a very difficult time last semester, and my grades suffered as a result. I believe this is a unique occurrence and will not repeat itself, I hope my performance during this semester while handling the issues I encountered during Spring 2016 does not leave…

My plan for this school year is to get a 4.0 GPA so I can get into a great college and pursue my dream of joining the S.W.A.T. Throughout English Honors 9 I learned many subjects I did not think I would learn for quite a long time. Some of these things I did particularly well on, and some not so much. During Semester 2 I thought I generally did well on most vocab tests and grammar tests. Some needed improvement but nothing was too extreme. I thought I did very well on the Social Awareness Project, receiving a 100 percent.…

On the second quarter, I did well in all my classes including chemistry. But the score I got that time was not good enough to improve my GPA. Time passed and things got harder in the third quarter of the school year. The topics that we were studying were very challenging, and unfortunately, I failed chemistry once again. To pass the classes in my school you needed a B- at least.…

This year, I worked towards two goals: to pass the AP exam and to get a 90% or above in this class. I passed the AP exam without a doubt and unless this paper I am writing receives a grade below 72%, I should achieve that goal too. I am not aiming for that, however, as I try to go beyond what I need. My work and work ethic in this class prove that I deserve at least a 90% to finish the year off with. First of all, I find it hard to believe I would deserve anything below an A after getting an A every quarter so far (and not an 89.5% that just happens to round up either).…

Possible selves are the future self that someone wants to become. These perceptions govern our actions, motivation, and help to reach our goals. While there has been research on middle income people and their selves, Shawna Lee and Daphna Oyserman decided to test the possible selves of low income mothers and what strategies they use to achieve their selves. The main point of this study is that typically low income mothers think of their possible selves as being breadwinners and their to be avoid self was not making ends meet and failing their family.…

Introduction Over the past several weeks, I had the opportunity to experience the first step towards my PhD. During this time I was introduce to the “Culture of inquiry”. This concept went far beyond simply being handed the tools to research different business topics of my interest. Rather, this idea gave me the tools I needed to go deep within myself to discover things about me that I may not have otherwise known. As a result, this essay will cover my strengths and the areas that I want further growth along my PhD journey.…

Before I began my Freshman Development Seminar course with Professor Furet, I believed that this class would not be of good use to me. The reason for this was because of my beliefs in self-teaching myself to learn the basics with additional help from other sources. However, it did not turn out the way I wanted it to be. Therefore, I had to pay to get taught what I could have done on my own, at least that is what I convinced myself then and there. Throughout my class sessions with Ms. Furet, I learned more than I could have ever imagined.…
