School uniforms are becoming accepted, attractive and fashionable trend among students now-a-days. Have you ever thought why should we wear uniforms at school? Some people think that that wearing uniform must not be made compulsory at schools, since they think that it means schools limit student’s rights to choose what they want to wear and what clothes makes them comfortable, thus violating their self expression. On the other hand, Some people believe that school uniforms must be mandatory because uniforms improves educational skills; students focus more on the purpose of school which is to gain knowledge, decreases social discrimination and school uniforms are cost effective and also time-saving

School uniforms saves money as cost of uniform is significantly very less than a new armoire of different types of fashionable garments. Therefore, all students can afford uniform. Parents need to buy their children school uniform only once in a year, which individuals wear every day. Many parents can 't manage the cost of designer garments for their youngsters, and they need to wear the hand-me-down attire from older siblings or other relatives. Individuals need not to waste time in choosing branded clothing to wear to school, if dress code is made mandatory to schools. High school is the time when students build up their own particular style of choice, urgently attempting to both come out and fit in at the same time. School uniform is believed to deprive one’s individuality and liberty. It’s not so because one’s character is not only displayed by what one wears but also by one’s behavior and thinking. School uniforms neither makes nor destroys one’s personality. In fact, students who wear uniforms develop their own ways to express themselves in front of others. For example – these students use makeups, wear different accessories to stand out among other individuals and make different styles of hairs. No one wants to go to school looking dull and boring and if students don’t feel good about them by wearing same uniform every day, they may not be able to concentrate on academics.
To conclude, I think school uniforms have more advantages in comparison of disadvantages. School uniforms must be mandatory at schools because it encourages ethics of vital importance so uniforms are great thing to have.
