However, in school court cases, “the court concluded that the students’ interest in expressing themselves through their choice of clothes was outweighed by the school’s attempt to create a “safe and peaceful environment.”(Text 1, Page 4) The students “need” for diversity is overshadowed by the fact that they need to be protected and watched over. The thought may seem ludicrous, but then, Hitler’s Third Reich was to boast the blond-haired, blue-eyed Aryan race.”(Text 3, Page 2) Though it is a very stretched ideal it compares that Hitler wanted to have everyone the same and to have no diversity or individuality between others.This may be true, but, “..both principals from Halifax County, have witnessed an increase in school unity since school uniforms were required.” (Text 1, Page 3) The feeling of unity and belonging is more important than the feeling of individuality.
