School Trash Research Paper

Improved Essays
Our school is extremely bad about about leaving trash everywhere. They’re decisions are turning our school and athlete’s down tremendously. The problem on our campus consists of the students throwing trash on the ground, leaving empty soda cans and bottles outside on the benches, and dropping napkins and other trash on the cafeteria floor. I think this is an extremely big problem, but I also think the students are just continuing to be rude and lazy about this situation. Our school needs to find a way to help prevent this issue.
I understand that the principal has given the students multiple chances to fix this matter, and I recognize the students aren’t taking action to help with this issue. If they don’t start to do something our school is going to look like a trash dump. All of this nasty trash is going to cause animals to take over our school. Our school's reputation is going to go down hill, and cause a massive downgrade on our higher board members. There has to be something we can do in solving this matter.

I don’t support this issue because our school athletes need to have a certain amount of practices to perform their first game. Also, our school club members need to have time to help out their club, and perform their outstanding skills. Another reason why I don’t support this is because basketball players should get to play 8 games, and 2 tournaments; with that being said, seasons only last so long and you wouldn’t be able to get all of the games in. Also, sports are extremely serious at some schools, and many people like to watch their kids exceed in their favorite

One incident that took place at Madera High School and carried on for about 3 years should have been brought to attention and handled before the first month was to come, at most the second. Last week, I witnessed a student attempt to plagiarize her assignment. Every day, I see students constantly disrespect the teacher, watch movies during lessons and not take their education seriously. The Thomas Merton Learning Centre differs from regular high schools because it holds their students up to the expectations of an adult. In high school, the teachers and administration would have to physically remove the student's’ possessions as a result of their immature behavior. At the learning center, I have witnessed the exact same immature behavior with no consequences.…

I think it’s a good idea because we have all the football players that think there better than everybody. The coaches think there a lot better than everyone and can do whatever they want and no one can say anything about it. The basketball players are always on the same team in gym class and that is not fair. I think all the players would get mad and the fans would to but then everyone might work instead of sitting and watching sports. If all sports were gone there might be more fights.…

While some parents view after school programs as a place to send their child as an alternative to daycare or a babysitter, it is important to realize that after school programs are far more than just a place to send your children at the end of the school day. According to information from the Afterschool Alliance, a program dedicated to expanding after school programs in the United States, 178,554 students in Arizona participate in after school programs. While that is only about 16 percent of Arizona's K-12 students, 97 percent of those parents are satisfied with their child's after school program. Plus, 34 percent of Arizona children not enrolled in after school programs would participate in them if they were available in their area.…
