School: The Toughest Moment Of My Life

Everyone is excited about their senior year. But for me, it was the toughest moment of my life. At home, I felt like I was alone, and that nobody cares for me. My brothers and sisters always ignore me, and my parents are always away due to work. I would always be by myself, locked up in my room. Every morning, I wake up and nobody would notice me at home, as if I am invisible; and yet, I get excited, not about seeing my family, nor being with them, but about going to school. School acts as a second home to me because it is a safe environment to be in, you have teachers which are like your parents, and it is a good place to learn to be responsible. Being the youngest sibling with a massive age gap between me and my brothers and sisters, I have no connections and similarities with them, and my parents were always at work. I feel like I do not belong in the family, because I could not fit in. It was very depressing that I almost feel like I want to just run away from everything. Good thing, there is such a place as a school. The school is where I would run away to get far from home. It is the only thing that makes me want to wake up again every day. Both, she and I had problems at home. Hers, with her parents fighting almost always, leaving both of her brother neglected. As to mine, with the huge age gap between me and my brothers and sisters, adding that both my parents are always not around due to work, left me alone and disregarded. We both found the school is a place to run away from the negative aspects in our life, and used it as a shelter, and a place where we found happiness and acceptance.
